Is there any criteria to become a member ?

Anyone can become a member of APAI. All you need to do is fill up a form here.

What is home protection policy and how does it work ?

Under your membership with APAI, you are insured in the case of damage , disappearance or destruction of the following terms due to burglary at your residence during your travel time: 

1. your furniture, clothes, electrical and audio equipment

2. your money and cheque(s)

APAI has three membership plans; Silver, Gold and Platinum. The Membership Benefits vary under each plan. Please click here for further details.

How often does the membership need to be renewed?

Membership of APAI must be renewed on an annual basis. It starts on the day you register and ends the day prior to the date of registration, a year later. 

What are the payment methods available to take the membership?

Payment can be made via credit/debit card/net-banking / wallets via our website. 

Is there any age limit for the membership?

Currently, membership is restricted up to the age of 70.

Can I cancel my membership? How?

Yes, You may cancel your membership. However, there will be no refund of the amount deposited as membership fee. Please log in to "My Account". You can find the option to cancel your membership should you wish to do so.

Can a foreign national be a member?

APAI's membership plans can availed only by the residents of India.

Can a Non-Resident Indian be a member?

Yes, you will need to provide your PIO/CIO number.

I bought my flight ticket with electronic miles. Am I still eligible for the APAI membership benefits?

Yes

Do you have any plans for families

As of now we only provide membership on an individual basis. 

Is there a limit to the number of flights for which I will be insured?

All your trips for the entire year will be insured under your membership with APAI.

Why do I need Travel Policy?

A possibility of some unexpected occurrence no matter how perfect the planning is may leave you in a difficult situation. Unfortunate events such as baggage loss, passport loss, a medical emergency or an accident can affect you. Having Travel Insurance protects you from all such perils. It ensures that in a domestic trip or on foreign land you are not left stranded in any kind of an emergency.

Can I be eligible for more than one claim?

Yes. 

When does the cover begin?

The Insurance cover commences on the day specified in the Policy Schedule or the time you board the conveyance to leave for onward / overseas journey or the Contracted 

Till when is the policy valid?

Insurance policy is valid for 1 year. The policy provides you coverage from Origin Aiport to Destination Aiport only.

What is APAI?

The Air Passengers Association of India (APAI), is an autonomous body formed to voice the interests of Air Passengers and improve the air travel ecosystem in the country by bringing all stakeholders onto a common platform.

My baggage is missing / Stolen, What do I do?

Is loss of carry on baggage eligible for any claim?
